Tiya Sircar has been casted to appear in a guest-star role in the second season of The Vampire Diaries. Tiya will play the character of Aimee Bradley, a new high school student who gets involved in the supernatural.

HarperCollins Children’s Books and Alloy Entertainment have announced that they are planning a Vampire Diaries prequel trilogy. The first book, Stefan’s Diaries #1: Origins, will be released in November. According to Entertainment Weekly, the prequels “will shed sunlight on the vampire brothers’ long, troubled history, including the Civil War-era romance that turned them against each other.”
